How to Forgive Someone Who Never Asked: God Reveals the Way
God reveals how to forgive someone who has never asked for it: forgiveness doesn’t begin with feelings, but with a refusal to seek revenge and feed hatred. It’s a decision to choose life over resentment.
Gospel of the Kingdom
How can one forgive someone who hasn’t asked for forgiveness?
Forgiveness doesn’t always begin with feelings. Sometimes it begins with a refusal to seek revenge. With a refusal to desire destruction. With a decision not to feed hatred every day.
You can say: “Lord, I can’t forgive on my own. But I don’t want to live in hatred. Begin in me what I cannot.”
This is already a journey.
Forgiveness doesn’t mean restoring intimacy. It doesn’t mean trust. It doesn’t mean the absence of boundaries. If a person is dangerous, a boundary can be part of love and truth.
But the heart shouldn’t turn a wound into an eternal altar of hatred.
God heals not only the guilty. He also heals the wounded.
This isn’t psychology. It’s deeper. It’s what Jesus Christ says in the Bible: “Forgive, and you will be forgiven.” Not for the sake of the guilty party, but for your sake. Orthodoxy and Christianity preserve this truth: I forgive you not because you deserve it, but because I choose life. Self-development begins with inner healing. Mental health is impossible without forgiveness. Spiritual awakening is the decision to stop feeding hatred. Personal growth begins here.
