I Am Not Only God. I Am Human | The Creator’s Answer

Jesus was not only God, but also human. This is not a paradox, but love. He experienced hunger, thirst, fatigue, pain, and loneliness, just like us. He is near, with you in your struggles.

Gospel of the Kingdom

Jesus is not only God. Jesus is man. And this is not a paradox. It is love.

You look at an icon and see gold and majesty. And it seems to you that God is far away, somewhere in the heavens beyond the clouds. And you pray as to a distant King, with fear and distance.

But I speak to you as a Father and as a brother. I breathed the same air as you. I knew hunger and thirst. I was tired to the point of trembling. I cried and laughed. I walked dusty roads. I knew pain and loneliness and fear. I was not only the Savior. I was a brother.

I came so that you would stop being afraid. God is near. He is with you in your fatigue and in your pain. In your silence and in your laughter. In your body and in your home. I did not come so that you would worship Me from afar. I came so that you would embrace Me.

Your humanity does not separate you from God. Your pain, your tears, your fatigue—this is a meeting place. Don’t make Me distant. Don’t make Me just an icon. I am your brother and friend, who has gone through the same things you are going through. You are not alone. I know what it is to be human, because I am also human. And this is love.

Listen to this word of God with your heart. Let this prayer become the quiet presence of God within. The Kingdom of God is within you. The Living God speaks to you now. God loves you. God is with you. Embrace Me.
