You look for God in the heavens, but He is within you. The truth you haven’t heard

You’re used to God being somewhere high up. Somewhere beyond the clouds, beyond rituals, beyond the right words. You seek Him in churches, in books, in other people’s sermons. You look to the sky and ask, “Where are You?”

But He is already within you. From birth. Before you uttered your first word.

He is in your breath. In the beating of your heart. In the silence between thoughts. In that depth where there are no words. There is only presence. Only life.

Stop looking for Him elsewhere. Enter within—not as into emptiness, but as into a home. You will not find Him in other people’s rituals until you find Him within yourself. And when you find Him, you’ll understand: you weren’t lost. You were just looking in the wrong place.

And the most important step in your life is to stop looking outside. Because He is already within you. And He’s waiting for you to simply notice.
