Don’t Fight Fear. Bring It to God—Faith Will Awaken on Its Own

Don’t fight fear. Bring it to God. Faith isn’t a victory over fear; it’s another dimension where fear is present, but you’re not alone with it. You bring it to God.

Gospel of the Kingdom

You think faith is the opposite of fear. That you need to uproot fear and plant faith in its place. And you try. You tell yourself: “Don’t be afraid. Believe. Everything will be fine.”

But the fear doesn’t go away. It only sinks deeper. And you feel weak because you can’t overcome it.

But faith isn’t a victory over fear. Faith is another dimension. It’s not when there’s no fear. It’s when fear is there, but you’re not alone with it. You bring him to God.

Imagine fear as a child who comes to you in the darkness. He’s trembling. He’s afraid. You don’t tell him, “Stop being afraid!” You take him by the hand and lead him into a room where the light is on. You don’t kill the fear. You simply show him that there is One greater than the darkness. And the child calms down. Not because the darkness has disappeared. But because he is no longer alone.

So it is with you. When fear comes, don’t try to destroy it. Don’t try to convince yourself otherwise. Simply say, “I’m afraid, Father. You see this fear. I offer it to You. Do with it what you will. I can’t. You can.”

And in this offering lies faith. Not that the fear will disappear instantly. It’s that you’ve stopped fighting it alone.

You’ve given it over to the One who is stronger.

And then a miracle happens: fear remains, but it loses its power. It’s no longer the master. It’s just a guest. And you can look at it without panic. Because you know: God is near. And He is greater than any of your fears.

Faith isn’t born of struggle. Faith is born of trust. From saying, “I don’t know how it will be. But I know Who will be with me. And that’s enough.”

Today, when fear comes, don’t run from it. Don’t fight it. Just take it by the hand and lead it to God. Say, “Here it is, Father. I brought it to You. Now it’s your turn.”

And remain in silence. Faith will come on its own. Like breath. Like light. Like an embrace that makes fear feel cramped. This is Christianity without pretense. This is Orthodoxy without masks. The Bible says, “God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God.” Jesus Christ didn’t demand fearlessness—He said, “Let not your heart be troubled.” A soul that has brought fear to God is already being healed.

Humility isn’t the absence of fear. Humility is honesty before God.
